Sarah Funk Music Resume 2011 |

Sarah Funk (violin, vocals, recorder) has been with Folk Voice Band since
1995. She can be seen jamming on violin with the Seattle Jazz Guitar
Collective, participates in the Healing Music Project at UW Medical Center
and an occasional English Country Dance ensemble. Past groups include
Crookshank, Skandia Kapell, and Nordiska Folk Dancers. Sarah was a founding
member of world music ensembles, Hejira and Ek Balaam, and has performed
with the Klez Katz, the Katatonics, Seattle Turkish Ensemble, City Cantabile
Choir, and as jazz vocalist for The Dissonance. Highlights of her music
career include performing with Nordiska at Benaroya Hall’s "World Day of
Music" in 1998, the opening of the Henry Art Gallery, and as impromptu
fiddler for Australian contradance band, The Wombats. She also plays viola
and viola da gamba and has been a member of the UW Collegium Musicum,
Seattle Philharmonic, and the University Symphony![]() |
